Ring Joints

Ring Joint are metallic gaskets designed for high pressure applications. They are available in a variety of forms to suit the differing flange formats.

Type R Oval

Used on round bottomed groove flanges though can also be used on later, flat-bottomed groove flanges. Suitable for ANSI B16.5 flanges from Class 150 to 2500

Type R Octogonal

Can be used only in flat-bottomed groove flanges. Suitable for ANSI B16.5 flanges from Class 150 to 2500.

Type RX

For use on high pressure, API 6B flanges rated for Class 2000 to Class 5000.

Type BX

For use on API 6BX flanges from Class 2000 to Class 20000.

Specialised Rings
To suit problematic flanges, details upon request.

All ring joints are manufactured according to ASME B16.20 and API6A.
